Playa Conchal

Conchal Beach, or Playa Conchal as the locals call it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. It is part of Brasilito Bay and located on the Northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica south of Brasilito and Flamingo beaches and North of Playa Grande and Tamarindo. The beach is surrounded by the Reserva Conchal resort.

The beach itself is made up of crushed shells instead of sand. Especially at the North end of the beach the white shells cover the beach. Because of this the water is exceptionally clear as the shells are too heavy to be lifted up into the water.
